White wines are those made from white grapes. This category also includes a wide range of grape varieties, such as Viura, Godello, Verdejo, and Malvasia. These grapes do not have red pigments and, therefore, do not colour the must extracted from the grapes. White wine shades vary widely from straw yellow to greenish-yellow and even golden. Lighter shades indicate a fresher wine.
